Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Staff Controls, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer to lead automation initiatives in server manufacturing. The role combines controls, mechatronics, and software to design scalable automation, metrology, and testing frameworks.

You will drive continuous improvement and ensure DFMA alignment across product designs. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing, deep PLC/SCADA expertise, and a strong data analytics background.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related field
• 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing
• Proficiency with data-driven tools (Minitab, JMP, Python, R, SQL)
• Background in electronics assembly or high-reliability industries
• Proficiency CAD and industrial automation platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead automation system design and implementation for server manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement via SPC, FMEA, DOE.
• Develop scalable automation strategies for NPI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DFM and DFA.
• Specify and install automation solutions with vendors.
• Create SOPs and training materials.
