ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, seeks a Sr Staff Automation & Controls Engineer to lead automation initiatives in server manufacturing. You will design and implement integrated mechatronic solutions, support NPI, and ensure DFM/DFA and PFMEA are embedded in product design.

The role requires 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing, strong data analytics with tools like Minitab/Python/SQL, and expertise in robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with data-driven tools (Minitab, JMP, Python, R, SQL) for analysis.
• Experience with PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and quality improvement.
• Background in electronics assembly or high-reliability industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives across design, implementation, and qualification of systems.
• Develop scalable automation strategies aligned with product roadmaps and NPI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DFM/DFA in new designs.
• Translate PFMEA outputs into actionable process controls and prevent variation.
• Drive yield, reliability, cycle time, and throughput improvements through data-driven methods.
