Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to lead security architecture and guardrails across AWS and GCP. You will work with engineering teams to strengthen identity, data protection, and secure deployment paths while driving scalable security capabilities.

You will mentor teams, shape the cloud security roadmap, and balance long-term architectural improvements with urgent risk mitigation. Strong coding and IaC skills are required to deliver secure defaults across the platform.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in cloud security engineering and production-scale environments.
• Experience shaping security architecture and driving cross-team initiatives.
• Hands-on IAM, least-privilege and cross-account access implementations.
• Security tooling and automation using IaC tools like Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud security architecture and guardrails across AWS and GCP.
• Strengthen identity and access management and secure cross-account access.
• Drive security for cloud workloads including Kubernetes and container runtime.
• Build reusable security capabilities and policy-as-code guardrails.
