Job summary

Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to shape cloud security strategy across AWS and GCP, strengthening identity and guardrails.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. You will lead security initiatives, build reusable capabilities (Terraform modules), and mentor engineering teams.

You will partner with Infrastructure and Product groups to secure deployments, improve visibility, and translate security findings into durable improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud or infrastructure security engineering experience.
• Ability to lead initiatives across teams and drive security standards.
• Deep IAM, cross‑account access, and short‑lived credentials expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud security architecture and guardrails across AWS/GCP.
• Secure cloud workloads, CI/CD paths, and workload identity.
• Build reusable security capabilities and policy‑as‑code guardrails.
• Define telemetry and detection coverage for cloud-native threats.
