Job summary

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy. Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Cloud) owns data infrastructure and cloud systems powering the autonomous platform.

You will design scalable pipelines and AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance for real-world deployments. You will collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers, driving observability, security, and resilience while building internal tools and automation for data ingestion and processing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building cloud data systems for large-scale distributed applications.
• Strong Python, data pipeline development, and automation.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, gRPC, and AWS.
• CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI.
• Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines moving data from on-prem to cloud infrastructure.
• Architect and manage AWS-based infrastructure for scalable compute, data processing, and telemetry.
• Integrate on-prem and cloud data flows into a cohesive data architecture.
• Build CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery and validation.
• Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop internal services to streamline data ingestion, processing, and observability.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data reliability, observability, and security.
• Drive root-cause analysis for data infra issues and design long-term resilience solutions.
• Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers to define scalable data interfaces and deployment strategies.
