Job summary

Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) seeks a full-time Civil or Environmental Engineer eager to work across environmental investigation, remediation design, and civil site development.

The role emphasizes field experience, with summer focus in mine-related investigations within the Bunker Hill area and broader Pacific Northwest projects. You will balance on-site sampling with office tasks such as QA plans, reports, and Civil 3D drawings, interfacing with clients and regulators to keep projects on

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering or environmental engineering.
• EIT Certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months.
• Interest in consulting on site development design, brownfield redevelopment, environmental remediation design, hydraulics and hydrology, and stormwater system and treatment design.
• Sound technical capabilities and organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; report writing will be part of regular tasks.
• Aptitude for using AutoCAD design software, specifically Civil 3D.
• Ability to drive and travel occasionally to regional projects.
• Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, respiratory gear, and traversing rough terrain.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team to deliver projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Spend substantial time onsite collecting soil, groundwater, and surface water samples.
• Support drilling oversight and field operations with contractors, clients, and regulators.
• Prepare quality assurance project plans and investigation reports.
• Prepare design drawings using Civil 3D and develop stormwater models.
• Provide ARAR support, cost estimating, data interpretation, and report preparation.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop designs and specifications; assist bidding and contracts.
• Assist environmental team in characterizing mine-impacted sites and review remediation designs.
• Engage with clients and regulators to ensure project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
