Job Description

The Staff Civil/Environmental Engineer will support project teams in creating world-class designs for various civil and environmental engineering projects. These may include solid waste and resource recovery facilities, municipal, commercial, and industrial facilities, stormwater management structures, utility facilities, water/wastewater systems, and other civil site and stormwater projects. The role offers opportunities to lead tasks/projects, assist in project management, and interact with clients. Career growth into leadership roles such as lead engineer or project manager is available.

Responsibilities

• Design facilities from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with project teams during design and construction, adjusting plans as needed.
• Research and compile project data.
• Prepare reports, studies, and cost estimates.
• Support civil and environmental permitting efforts.
• Assist in project scope, budget, schedule, and quality management.
• Provide construction support and quality assurance reports.
• Mentor staff members.
• Develop and maintain client and regulatory relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of experience, or equivalent qualifications.
• FE, EIT, or PE preferred.
• Willingness to travel (~15%).
• Strong knowledge of civil and environmental engineering techniques.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $95,000 - $135,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include insurance, disability, time off, wellness programs, ESOP, and 401(k).
