Description

The Staff Environmental Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments, including high-voltage transmission line routing, power generation construction activities, and water treatment facilities. The engineer will collaborate throughout the design and construction process, adapting environmental plans based on budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.

  • Perform environmental design from conceptual phase through completion.
  • Review and modify production drawings for various projects such as power plants, healthcare, industrial, airports, educational, commercial, and government/military facilities.
  • Design environmental components as required by project managers.
  • Apply knowledge of environmental engineering principles, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Research and compile project-related data as needed.
  • Update drawings using CAD software to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare information for client presentations, shop reviews, and contract administration.
  • Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations for public and private clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 3 years of consulting experience, OR a related degree with FE certification and 3 years of experience, OR a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering with 2 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Methodical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, 3D rendering, and environmental analysis software.
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineers in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Compensation

$95,000 - $150,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience, including base salary and potential bonuses.
