Apex Companies, LLC in Quincy, MA seeks an Engineer 1 – Staff Engineer to design and deliver transportation, water, and environmental projects with oversight from a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.

You’ll perform fieldwork, prepare bid documents, permit applications, and rely on AutoCAD/GIS tools while mentoring interns and contributing to master planning across diverse projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Field data collection.
• Proficiency with MS 365.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Responsabilidades

• Design calculations.
• Bid documents including specifications and drawings.
• State, federal, and local permit applications.
• Fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, traffic counts, and construction observation.
• Contribute to reports describing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts.
• Use technical software to support transportation, wastewater, drinking water or stormwater projects.
• Use AutoCAD and GIS applications to support planning and design.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff; mentor interns.
• Participate in comprehensive master planning; and
• Assist clients with regulatory compliance.
