Job summary

Langan is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.

You will gain experience in site/civil design for mixed‑use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other land development projects. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 1+ years of experience, FE/EIT certification,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1+ years experience.
• EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam.
• Experience in site/civil design, site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment ability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related tools.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, test data and aerial photos to assess soil, terrain, hydrology and geology for project planning and design.
• Suggest approaches to improve efficiency and services.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested.
