Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to join our collaborative team. This role focuses on planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.

You will work on site/civil design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, and federal projects, with ongoing professional growth and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates and design plans using engineering software.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrology, topography, and geology for planning and design impact.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
