Job summary

Pennoni in Princeton, NJ seeks an experienced Staff Engineer to lead multi-discipline design projects on a full-time basis at our office. You will work on private and public site development across markets, coordinating design teams and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

The role requires a Civil/Engineering degree, 4+ years’ land development experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. NJ P.E. license preferred; strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Civil.
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably land development.
• Knowledge of stormwater design calculations; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform site design work including site layout, grading, utilities-oriented tasks (water & sanitary sewer), and public street design.
• Perform site evaluations for land development feasibility.
• Assist with stormwater management design calculations and erosion & sediment control; review retention/detention and BMPs.
• Review local municipal ordinances and county/state regulations.
• Assist design team in preparation of plans for permitting and construction.
• Assist with preparation of permit applications.
• Assist with engineering reports and presenting technical information to demonstrate compliance with client/regulatory requirements.
• Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
