Job summary

Pennoni in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to contribute to multi-discipline design projects on a full-time basis at our Haddon Heights office. The role spans private and public site development across markets; you will interpret zoning, design site layouts, and manage stormwater and utilities design while interfacing with clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 4+ years of experience; NJ P.E. license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform zoning interpretation and feasibility studies, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Design and detail of site layout, grading, roadway, and utilities.
• Contribute to stormwater management design: Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling, Erosion and Sediment Control (E&S) planning, etc.
• Utilize advanced understanding of ordinances / regulations (local, state, & federal) as well as the relevant permitting process(es) to ensure compliance.
• Engage with regulatory agencies.
• Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients.
• Nurture existing client relationships as well as developing new clients.
• Mentor junior-level staff.
• Provide quality control of staff design & reports.
• Prepare proposals and track project budgets for profitability.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
