Job summary

HR Green, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer II in Land Development to join our McHenry, IL team.

You will perform civil/site design, including grading, drainage, water and wastewater components, with ownership of project elements and collaboration with municipalities and clients. You’ll grow your technical skills while mentoring junior engineers, contributing to QA/QC, and guiding projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction support on a mix of commercial and residential

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• EIT certificate required.
• 3+ years in civil engineering, land development preferred.
• Experience with Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD or similar.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil/site projects including grading, drainage, water and wastewater systems.
• Own project components and sometimes entire projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, municipalities to solve challenges.
• Contribute to QA/QC and full project lifecycle from planning to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide team growth.
