Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Staff Engineer to drive cloud-first engineering across the organization. You will lead technical strategy, articulate a bold vision, decompose complex problems, and ensure scalable, high-quality designs while mentoring engineers.

You will partner with product managers, ML experts, and partners to advance CI/CD with the One Pipeline initiative, delivering practical, reusable solutions and accelerating delivery across teams while promoting an inclusive engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 7 years of software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience coding in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
• 8+ years of full lifecycle of system development, from conception through production.
• 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity.
