Job summary

OhioHealth in Mansfield, OH seeks a Staff Chaplain to provide pastoral counseling and spiritual support to patients, families and staff, within an interfaith pastoral care team. The chaplain will participate in on-call duties, team meetings and meaningful worship experiences.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in theology, ordination documentation, and clinical pastoral education certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in theology or divinity is required.
• ACPE/Professional Chaplain certifications or eligible for certification are preferred.
• Experience in clinical pastoral education or supervision is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and spiritual support as part of interprofessional teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation including nights/weekends.
• Engage in ethics consultations and advance care planning discussions.
• Deliver religious/spiritual rituals and rituals adapted to diverse faith traditions.
• Support professional ethics and serve as liaison with faith groups.
