Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Care provider to support patients, families, and staff throughout the hospital. This role develops a parish within the hospital, leads worship experiences, and works as part of an ecumenical pastoral care team.

The position involves direct patient care, on-call responsibilities, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care with medical plans. Two years in ministry, including hospital exposure, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• COA - Certificate of Authority as CNS - State of Ohio required.
• Two years ministry experience, at least one year in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care per emergent and routine requests; assess spiritual needs and document responses.
• Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight/weekend shifts.
• Provide religious/spiritual rituals and non-pharmacological interventions to patients and family members.
• Liaise with faith groups and community resources; support ethics consultations when needed.
• Care for patients in diverse acute/non-acute settings including hospital, outpatient, extended care facilities, and home.
