CVS Health is seeking a Staff CDN Engineer to lead enterprise CDN, edge‑delivery, and web performance initiatives. You will architect, implement, and automate scalable delivery frameworks, while guiding teams across application, cloud, network, and security domains.

The role emphasizes on‑call readiness, incident response, and durable improvements. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural reviews, and set modernization roadmaps for CDN, DNS, and edge‑security platforms, balancing

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience with CDN/edge delivery and web performance.
Strong software engineering and automation using Python, Go, or Node.js with IaC, APIs, Git-based development.
Experience leading complex production incidents and root-cause analysis.
Ability to define reference architectures, lead initiatives, and collaborate across multiple teams.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve CDN and edge-delivery architectures; build IaC modules, GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service capabilities.
Lead architecture reviews for CDN, edge delivery, DNS, TLS, caching, and security; align cross-functional teams.
Lead advanced analysis and troubleshooting across CDN and web performance; use telemetry and logs to improve service health.
Provide on-call support during incidents and coordinate restoration during escalations.
Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, incident investigations, and workshops.
Set long-term direction for enterprise CDN, DNS, traffic management, and edge-security platforms.
