CVS Health is seeking a Staff CDN Engineer to lead enterprise CDN, edge delivery, DNS, and web performance initiatives. You will shape architecture, build automation, and provide on‑call production support across engineering teams to improve reliability and security.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in CDN/edge delivery (Akamai), strong coding (Python/Go/Node.js), IaC and GitOps, and a proven ability to mentor engineers while delivering scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with CDN/Akamai, edge delivery, and web performance.
• Strong software engineering and automation skills with Python/Go/Node.js.
• Experience leading complex production incidents and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to define reference architectures and guide engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise CDN and edge delivery architectures and standards.
• Lead architecture reviews, coordinate cross-functional work, and contribute hands-on engineering.
• Lead advanced analysis and troubleshooting across CDN, DNS, TLS, and web performance.
• Provide on-call support and coordinate production incident response and RCAs.
• Mentor engineers and promote operational readiness and continuous improvement.
• Set long-term direction for CDN, DNS, traffic management, and edge security platforms.
