Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a Staff Engineer in the Bridge Engineering group to support Ohio design centers in Columbus, Akron, Cincinnati, or Cleveland. The role focuses on designing bridges and leading project cost estimates, plan development, and QA/QC activities.

Ideal candidates bring a Civil Engineering degree, 0–2 years of experience, and strong communication skills. Microstation experience is preferred. This is a regular full‑time, on‑site position in Ohio design centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for client interaction and career advancement.
• Experience with Microstation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of new bridges using pre‑stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components.
• Development of project cost estimates.
• Plan development.
• QC/QA processes.
• Development and mentoring of less experienced staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
