Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer for its Bridge Engineering Group in Columbus, Ohio.

This internship offers hands-on experience in the design of bridges using pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber components, guiding from concept through detailed design. You will engage in cost estimation, plan development and QC/QA activities while collaborating with experienced staff and contributing to real community projects in a mentorship-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• 0-2 years of experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with design software such as Microstation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of bridges using concrete, steel and timber
• Develop project cost estimates
• Plan development for bridge projects
• QC/QA processes for project deliverables
• Mentoring of less experienced staff and collaboration on assignments
