Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a Staff Engineer in our Bridge Engineering Group, located at one of our four Ohio Design Centers. You will contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed bridge designs using various materials, and help develop project cost estimates and plans while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 0–2 years of experience and strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for client interaction and career advancement.
• Ability to handle pressure and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Microstation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of new bridges using pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components
• Development of project cost estimates
• Plan development
• QC/QA
• Development and mentoring of less experienced staff
• Other duties as assigned
