Qualifications

• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field; or Master’s with 4 years of experience in lieu of Ph.D.; or Bachelor’s with 6 years in lieu of Ph.D.
• 8+ years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics.
• 6+ years in medical device/IVD, biotech, life science or pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated experience developing statistical and quantitative methods.
• Deep knowledge of molecular biology and/or next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genomics.
• Demonstrated expertise in product/assay research, design, or development.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of areas for process improvements and develop research plans.
• Plan, develop, and lead analyses and algorithms across multiple product areas.
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Manage bench-generated data and bioinformatics outputs in HPC or cloud environments.
• Present results and defend scientific ideas at data meetings and project reviews.
• Contribute to scientific abstracts, conferences, and publications.
