Job summary

Alight Solutions is seeking a Staff Backend Integrations Engineer to design and build the integration infrastructure behind the Benefits Intelligence experience. This hands-on role focuses on building reliable, scalable integration-heavy systems and ensuring operability.

You will define architecture, APIs, and workflows to connect Worklife with the Data Engine, establish interface contracts, and drive integration across Product, Architecture and Platform teams.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in application data modeling and API design.
• Proficiency in backend services and modern frontend development.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve application architecture, domain model, workflows and business logic for Benefits Intelligence module.
• Design and build application services and APIs connecting Worklife with the Data Engine, with clear interfaces and observability.
• Lead the technical integration of Data Engine capabilities into Worklife, adapt UI components and create admin experiences.
• Establish reusable full-stack engineering patterns for maintainability, security, testing and deployment.
• Translate product concepts into pragmatic technical options and drive implementation with Product and Architecture.
