Job summary

Alight Solutions Ltd is seeking a Staff Backend Integrations Engineer to design and build the integration infrastructure behind the Benefits Intelligence experience. You will deliver reliable, scalable APIs and services, working across Product, UX, Data and Platform teams in a hybrid IL/USA environment.

The role emphasizes architecture, APIs, observability and operating excellence for production systems in a flexible working setup.

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive software engineering experience on complex production applications.
Deep expertise in application data modeling, API design, and backend services.
Demonstrated system design and build experience for complex B2B use cases.
Product judgment and ability to convert ambiguity into clear technical decisions and incremental delivery.
Experience integrating new capabilities into established products and technology ecosystems.
Independent execution of cross-functional technical leadership across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the application architecture and domain model for the Benefits Intelligence module.
Design and build services and APIs connecting Worklife with the Data Engine, with clear interface contracts and observability.
Lead the integration of Data Engine capabilities into Worklife and extend UI components when needed.
Establish reusable full-stack engineering patterns for maintainability, security, testing, and deployment.
Translate product concepts into pragmatic technical options and drive implementation with Product and Architecture.
