Qualifications

• Design and own backend systems at scale.
• Ability to own cross-functional initiatives from discovery to delivery.
• Experience integrating internal and third-party platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own reliable backend services and APIs.
• Own complex projects from architecture through launch.
• Build systems linking member experiences with labs, logistics, billing, analytics, and ops.
• Make architecture decisions balancing speed, maintainability, performance and security.
• Improve reliability with testing, observability, incident response, and ops practices.
• Partner with mobile and product engineers on contracts and data flows.
• Identify risks and reduce unnecessary complexity across the platform.
• Help establish engineering standards and tools as the team grows.
• Use modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to raise quality and speed.
