Job summary

NxT Level is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to scale the backbone of our marketplace platform. You will own large-scale backend projects, design container-based systems, and migrate legacy monoliths to scalable microservices, while leveraging AI-powered development tools.

Ideal candidates balance greenfield architecture with modernization in a high-volume environment, and collaborate closely with DevOps, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

8+ years of backend engineering experience.
Experience designing and scaling production backend systems.
Experience with container-based infrastructure (EKS/Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of microservices and monolith-to-microservices migrations.
Proven ability to own large technical projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Design and scale container-based backend architecture using EKS.
Migrate monolithic repositories to microservices while keeping systems stable.
Own major backend projects from architecture through deployment and iteration.
Improve production reliability via observability, monitoring, and scalability planning.
Collaborate with DevOps, product, and cross-functional teams to ship reliable marketplace infrastructure.
Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
