Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the connector framework and ingestion services powering a scalable data platform. You will write production Go services, manage data reconciliation, and ensure system reliability for enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities include canonical data mapping, watermark-based synchronization, and replayable pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Proficiency in Go with strong typing and concurrency.
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise in schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems.
• Experience implementing idempotent systems, dead-letter queues, and backpressure management.
• Experience designing incremental/delta synchronization with watermark tracking.

Responsabilités

• Framework Engineering: build reusable connector plumbing (authentication, circuit breaking, retries, idempotency).
• Canonical Mapping: map multi-source data into strongly-typed entities with provenance.
• Reliability: implement synchronization strategies with watermark management and safe recovery.
• Replayability: store raw API responses to allow re-processing from local storage.
• Performance: optimize high-volume synchronization, PostgreSQL performance, and batch upserts.
• Observability: define and monitor throughput, data drift, and error rates.
• Collaboration: work with platform architect on schema evolution and contracts between connectors and platform.
