Laurel seeks an experienced Staff Software Engineer to shape backend architecture and elevate engineering practices across our stack. You will own end-to-end delivery, mentor peers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems and deliver incremental value for our customers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software development experience.
• Full stack knowledge is a plus and experience with large-scale data systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend components with reusable, reliable code.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve performance, scalability, and security.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a learning culture.
• Adopt new features and technologies to enhance products.
• Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Product and Customer Success to flesh out requirements.
