Jobrapido seeks a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join the Client Integrations team. This remote role is open to candidates within the United States.

You will design, develop, and maintain external APIs and backend systems that connect our platform to customer workflows and third‑party services. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including full‑stack, data, ML, and DevOps to own projects from design through deployment and iteration.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Experience building external-facing APIs and integrations with third-party systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, debugging and problem-solving.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join the Client Integrations team at Jobrapido. This role is remote and open to candidates within the United States. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the external APIs and backend systems that connect the company’s platform to customer workflows and third‑party services. Your work will directly influence the platform’s reliability, scalability, and ease of integration, supporting the company's mission to deliver seamless, efficient, and robust solutions to clients. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including full‑stack, data, machine learning, and DevOps engineers, owning projects from initial design through deployment and ongoing iteration. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI and software development in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development. You should have proven expertise in building external‑facing APIs and maintaining integrations with third‑party systems. A solid understanding of system design, debugging, and problem‑solving is essential. Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and optimizing query performance is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable working with cloud infrastructure and serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, as well as developing asynchronous workflows. Strong communication skills and the ability to independently own projects and drive them to completion are critical. While experience with Python is preferred, candidates from other object‑oriented backgrounds with relevant skills will also be considered. Familiarity with distributed systems, API‑first architectures, and supporting customer‑facing production systems is advantageous. Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or infrastructure‑heavy software will be a plus.
