Job summary

Zipline is hiring for an embedded software engineer focused on flight- and safety-critical systems running on embedded Linux. You will own avionics subsystems, develop drivers, validation tooling, and reliability metrics for a large autonomous logistics fleet.

Requirements include shipping production code in C++ or Rust, strong embedded Linux experience, and a background in safety-critical environments. Occasional field testing and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping embedded production code in C++ or Rust.
• Proven track record in safety- or mission-critical systems.
• Comfort reading schematics and bringing up peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Own avionics subsystems such as GNSS, Cellular, IMU; drive design and production readiness.
• Deliver and maintain flight- and safety-critical code on embedded Linux; write drivers and real-time interfaces.
• Define and ship reliability and observability outcomes; instrument systems to detect regressions.
