Job summary
Divergent is seeking a Staff/Principal level Automation & Controls Engineer to develop the next generation PLC, HMI, and SCADA software and controls architectures for DAPS factories. You will lead standards, mentor engineers, and architect new automation systems, spanning hardware and software in a dynamic, startup-like environment.
You will collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the deployment, validation, and commissioning of factory modules while pushing for data-driven production
Qualifications
- 7 years of industrial automation controls experience in dynamic environments.
- IEC 61131-3 Structured Text programming experience.
- Industrial electrical and safety experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop next generation PLC, HMI & SCADA software & controls architectures for DAPS factories and modules.
- Support automation software standards, frameworks, best practices, and platform selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise the team's level through mentorship.
- Architect new advanced automation systems, leading design, development and commissioning of first article factory modules.
- Develop controls for new processes in an R&D environment.
- Understand and steer production operations requirements for factory modules and data-driven decisions.
- Ensure program deliverables are defined, scheduled, and executed on time and budget.
