Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories in Irvine, CA seeks a Staff Agentic Software Automation Engineer to set automation and test direction, leading the design of scalable automation systems around agentic tools and approaches. This role drives adoption of agentic automation practices across teams while serving as a senior escalation point for automation decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
7–10 years developing tools for CI automation and test infrastructure, including direction-setting across a domain or product area.

Responsibilities

Set automation and test direction for a domain or product area, embedding agentic tools as the primary methodology for CI, infrastructure, and test workflows.
Serve as a senior escalation point for automation and test infrastructure decisions across multiple teams.
Drive adoption of agentic automation practices, including agent orchestration and oversight, across teams.
Mentor senior engineers and contribute to their technical growth.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align automation and test priorities with business needs.
