Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Staff Agentic Software Automation Engineer to lead automation strategy for a domain, shaping scalable agentic tooling and orchestration. You will drive adoption, mentor engineers, and align automation with business goals, located in Irvine or nearby.

The role requires deep leadership in automation/test infra, strong AWS experience, and hands-on use of AI-assisted automation tools to accelerate CI and test development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience building CI automation and test infrastructure.
• Strong AWS and cloud infra experience for scalable apps.
• Experience directing AI-assisted automation tools within engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set automation and test direction for a domain or product area, embedding agentic tools as the primary methodology for CI, infrastructure, and test workflows.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for automation and test infrastructure decisions across multiple teams.
• Drive adoption of agentic automation practices, including agent orchestration and oversight, across teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to their technical growth.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align automation and test priorities with business needs.
