Texas State Technical College seeks a Staff Auditor to perform professional and highly technical auditing across financial, performance, compliance and IT audits. The role works independently under supervision and may assist on projects across TSTC campuses. Up to 30% travel may be required.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or IT fields, with excellent written communication and strong MS Office skills. Integrity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major coursework in accounting, business, or IT.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Perform audit procedures including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes.
• Interviews, reviewing documents, surveys, memos, and working papers.
• Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations with independent judgment.
• Evaluate the adequacy of controls and risk management processes.
• Prepare organized, accurate working papers supporting conclusions.
• Interact with managers and employees at all levels.
• Prepare and disseminate written audit reports of audit results.
• Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships through meetings.
• Participate in professional development and seek certifications.
• Perform administrative audit-related tasks.
