Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• Progresses professionally by working toward passing the CPA exam.
• Minimum of 60 hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and basic personal income taxes.
• Proficiency with computer and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of client records to trial balance, including analyses, prepaids, accruals, depreciation, and related calculations.
• Perform all phases of engagements, including report writing and tax return preparation.
• Familiarity with FASB, AICPA, GAO and GASB pronouncements for governmental engagements.
• Prepare financial statements using the firm’s software program.
• Suggest improvements to clients' systems and operations during engagements.
• Participate in engagement planning and communicate with clients to minimize disruption.
