As part of the Internal Audit Division, the Compliance Audit Department helps support this essential role by conducting quarterly and recurring audits required by government statutes, verifying that County departments fulfill collection reporting requirements, and testing the accuracy and completeness of monthly collection reports submitted to Commissioners Court. The department also maintains the County's Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline, which provides a resource for reporting concerns related to fraud, waste, or abuse.
