Job summary

We Are CASA seeks a staff attorney to provide direct representation to members in civil cases, including immigration, housing, employment, and civil rights. You will support the Legal Department's broader efforts and collaborate with paralegals, organizers, and social service staff in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include Maryland bar eligibility and a valid US driver's license. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong advocacy and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bar membership in Maryland; or eligible for admission in Maryland without examination.
• Valid US Driver’s License and reliable vehicle at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct representation to CASA members in civil legal cases (immigration, housing, employment, civil rights).
• Support organizing and policy campaigns with legal counsel, including drafting legislation and testimony.
• Engage in outreach, Know Your Rights presentations, and education activities.
