Job summary

TemPositions Group of Companies seeks a Staff Attorney to join a Bronx nonprofit legal team protecting New Yorkers from eviction and housing instability. You will represent clients in Bronx Housing Court and develop litigation strategies.

Admitted to practice in NY with 1–2 years of tenant experience; 3–5 years law experience; and familiarity with NY housing law are preferred. This role offers hybrid scheduling with courtroom appearances and remote work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Be a courtroom advocate: represent clients facing eviction in Bronx Housing Court.
• Fight for housing stability by counseling clients and developing legal strategies.
• Handle meaningful cases including non-payment and holdover proceedings.
• Empower communities through outreach, legal education workshops, and trainings.
• Collaborate with social workers, advocates, and housing counselors.
• Create lasting change by drafting motions and engaging in strategic litigation.
