Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Staff Attorney to support the Deputy General Counsel and the Ethics & Compliance function. You will provide legal guidance on compliance issues, manage KYC reviews, vendor due diligence, and assist with internal investigations and audits.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and at least 2 years as an attorney, with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. Travel up to 10% and strong collaboration across global teams are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor degree earned from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of experience as a licensed attorney is required. Focus on compliance is preferred
• Must have admission to the Bar and be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. State or the District of Columbia.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
• Able to do periodic travel, up to 5-10% for investigations and training.
• Knowledge in managing a broad scope of compliance obligations for a global corporation and dedication to a compliance focused legal practice.
• Skilled in navigating and applying FCPA, AML and other compliance laws/regulations to practical business matters and proactive approach to engaging with other stakeholders on such matters.
• High integrity and a commitment to ethical practices with the ability to assess and weight risks against operational needs to develop reasoned recommendations, including risk mitigation strategies.
• Solution-oriented and collaborative mindset and ability to deliver sound, clear and practical legal advice to a non-legal audience.
• Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills with the ability to competently manage multiple, competing priorities and to work independently as well as part of a diverse, global team.
• Experience supporting and conducting internal investigations and reporting.
• Multilingual skills preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal guidance on a variety of compliance related issues and policies as well as guidance and support to the Bell Ethics & Compliance team on various processes, matters and investigations.
• Understand areas of legal compliance risk and appropriate mitigation measures for topics such as GACC, FCPA/anti-bribery laws, AML, KYC processes, Conflicts of Interest and noncompete analysis, Hospitality/Gifts & Entertainment reviews, Donation and Sponsorship reviews, Revolving door provisions and post-government employment reviews, Data protection laws, Cybersecurity matters, REACH Regulation, Supplier compliance, Records retention, and Emerging topics in compliance landscape.
• Perform due diligence reviews for Bell Covered Business Partners to assess legal risk of current and potential business partners, as well as assist with intake, preparation and implementation of domestic consultant contracts and compliance-related certifications and maintenance of related books and records.
• Support issuance of contracts to Bell business partners and consultants, and support matters associated with Bell engagement with business partners and their ongoing compliance obligations.
• Manage the day to day KYC, hospitality, donation/sponsorship and post-government employment reviews workflow and legal reviews.
• Manage with finance team reviews of payment transactions for AML compliance and coordinate with other legal, finance and business stakeholders on compliance reviews and projects, including coordination with Textron legal team and collaboration across teams.
• Support all compliance and E&C reporting requirements to Bell and Textron leadership, including participation in relevant Steering Committee meetings and assist with preparing reports for such meetings and other annual compliance reporting requirements.
• Support and manage internal risk assessments and all compliance-related policies ensuring they remain current as well as support and manage any internal or external compliance-related audits.
• Support and conduct investigations pertaining to potential violations of Company policy and applicable laws, and assist with and support ethics investigations raised through the Textron Help-Line and other reporting channels.
• Provide guidance and support on overall E&C training initiatives, including onboarding, annual e-learning modules (CRCs) and periodic live training to employees on a variety of E&C related topics. May include creating training materials and delivering training.
• Monitor, research, identify and analyze changes to U.S. and foreign anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, conflict of interest, and other compliance related laws to determine impact to Bell policies, practices and procedures.
• As assigned, support other attorneys and subject matter experts within the legal team as well as assist with other special projects which may be necessary for the support of Bell’s business.
