Job summary

The Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic at Rutgers Law School in Newark seeks a full-time Staff Attorney to provide immigration representation to children involved with the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency. The Staff Attorney will be based in Newark, New Jersey, and work with clinics in Camden as part of Rutgers Law School's immigration practice.

Required: JD admitted to practice in New Jersey or another state, bilingual English/Spanish, 2–4 years in immigration law, some family

Qualifications

• JD, licensed to practice law in New Jersey or another state.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• 2–4 years of immigration law experience; some family law experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide immigration representation to children involved with the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
• Based in Newark, NJ, and linked to Rutgers Law School clinics in Newark and Camden.
• Collaborate with Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic and Rutgers Immigrant Justice Clinic.
