Job summary

Louisville Metro Government is seeking an administrative support professional to provide essential office services within an assigned office. The role involves screening calls, scheduling, drafting and proofreading documents, and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.

The position requires independent work methods under general supervision, with emphasis on accuracy, organization, and efficient information handling in a governmental environment.

  • Receives and screens telephone calls, guides callers to the appropriate staff in a timely and courteous fashion, effectively assist contacts requesting information.
  • Coordinators and manages the calendars and keeps supervisor apprised of scheduled appointments and meetings.
  • Receives, composes and/or reviews correspondence, presentations, reports, policies and procedures and other materials on general or technical subjects; edit and proofread for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinates logistical details of meetings, seminars, and conferences to include attendees, registration, travel, and accommodations.
  • Maintains various databases and filing systems.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Summary Objective

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support services to assigned office.

This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
