Job summary

Morena is seeking a Staff Applied AI Engineer to build and deploy production AI agents for complex enterprise workflows. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role that moves AI deployments from design to production and turns learnings into reusable patterns.

You will own complex AI deployments, agent workflows, evaluation, and collaboration with product and platform teams in a regulated enterprise environment. This is a hybrid, customer-facing technical role with strong ownership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of building and operating production software.
• Hands-on experience with modern LLMs, agentic systems, tool-calling, prompts, and model APIs.
• Comfortable designing production-grade AI deployments with observability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of sophisticated AI agent deployments from initial design through production.
• Design agent architectures, integrate with customer systems, evaluate behavior, and ensure reliable performance.
• Turn deployments into reusable platform components and templates.
• Collaborate with Product and Platform teams to improve the core product based on production learnings.
• Diagnose agent issues across tools, APIs, and data flows and ship production code.
