You will shape the technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product/design to deliver cutting-edge, reddit-unique ad formats that elevate brand advertising on Reddit.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience at staff level.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android patterns; 3+ years hands-on Android development.
• Experience in Ad Tech and interactive/rich-media mobile experiences.
• Strong product mindset with focus on UI polish and performance.
• Ability to design fault-tolerant client-side systems.
• Experience leveraging GenAI tools to boost productivity.
• Ability to run experiments with product metrics (BigQuery, Firebase, etc.).
• Willingness to work across the stack and explore AI/ML approaches.
• Self-directed, innovative,-action oriented leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy to make Reddit Video Ads a premier offering for brand advertisers.
• Provide guidance on android formats that scale to millions of users and establish best practices.
• Drive the full development lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
