Coinbase is hiring a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the data foundations for the Compliance Data team. You will own data models, pipelines, quality frameworks, and certification processes integral to regulatory reporting.

You will build production-grade data solutions across retail and institutional products, ensuring durability, auditability, and timely data for exams and filings. You’ll mentor engineers and shape engineering standards while embracing AI with oversight.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics or data engineering with leadership across teams.
• Expert SQL and Python in production pipelines, data quality, and orchestration.
• Strong data modeling, data contracts, and warehouse architecture (Snowflake/Databricks).
• Proven track record delivering regulated data for audits or filings.
• Ability to influence engineering practices and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Own data models, pipelines, quality frameworks, and certification processes.
• Build production-grade data solutions across retail and institutional product lines.
• Drive data quality from source with contracts, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Partner with upstream/downstream teams to close data gaps.
• Lead response to regulatory exams, audits, and data requests.
