Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the data foundations for the Compliance Data team within the Platform organization. You will define how compliance data is modeled, validated, and certified at scale, ensuring accurate, timely data for regulators.

You will own systems, architecture, and roadmaps; build production-grade data models and pipelines; drive data quality from source; partner with engineering and Compliance; and guide the team through audits and live exams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics engineering or data-intensive roles.
• Expert SQL and Python for production pipelines.
• Experience with data models that serve multiple downstream teams.

Responsibilities

• Own data systems, architecture, and roadmap for the Compliance Data.
• Build production-grade data models and pipelines for user, transaction, and compliance data.
• Establish data contracts, validation, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with upstream/downstream teams to close data gaps.
• Lead responses to regulatory exams, audits, and data requests.
• Shape standards and mentor engineers across the team.
