Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the data foundations for the Compliance Data team within the Platform organization. You will define the technical direction for compliant data modeling, validation, and certification at scale, supporting regulatory reporting across products and entities.

You will own the systems, architectures, and roadmaps for the Compliance Data stack, build production-grade data models and pipelines, and drive data quality and contracts to ensure accuracy

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with leadership experience.
• Expert SQL and Python for production pipelines, data quality automation, and orchestration.
• Designing and owning data models and certified data infrastructures for multiple downstream teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform systems, architecture, and roadmap for regulatory data.
• Build production-grade data models and pipelines across user, transaction, and compliance data.
• Drive data quality and data contracts to catch issues before they affect reports.
• Partner with engineering and Compliance leadership to close data gaps and absorb product changes.
• Lead responses to regulatory exams, audits, and time-sensitive data requests.
• Shape engineering standards and mentor other engineers within the team.
