Job summary

Dexcom is hiring for a senior algorithm/engineer role focused on developing next-generation sensing algorithms for CGM devices. You will build physics-based and data-driven models to improve measurement accuracy and calibration, while delivering robust signal processing and predictive techniques.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, clinical and product teams to validate concepts, optimize performance, and translate early concepts into scalable solutions for future products.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2–4 years of industry experience or MS with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar environments.
• Deep expertise in statistical estimation, signal processing, optimization, and mathematical modeling.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and practical model development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of advanced algorithms supporting next-generation sensing technologies.
• Develop physics-based, mechanistic, and data-driven models to characterize sensor behavior.
• Design and implement signal processing, estimation, calibration, detection, and predictive algorithms.
• Apply statistical modeling and data analytics to real-world datasets.
• Drive technical feasibility and maturation of algorithms with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate algorithm performance through simulation and experiments.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, tradeoffs, verification strategies.
