Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Technical Sourcer who will own top-of-funnel sourcing for aircraft engineering roles, from market mapping to proactive candidate generation across Aerodynamics, Propulsion, and Avionics. You will partner with recruiters and leaders to build data-informed strategies and scalable sourcing processes.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled workflows, talent intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration with Talent Acquisition Operations and Engineering leaders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical sourcing experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or related fields.
• Proven market mapping and competitive intelligence for specialized aircraft roles.
• Deep expertise in Boolean search and modern sourcing platforms.
• Ability to influence recruiters and leaders with market insights and talent intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered sourcing workflows and automation.
• Experience using AI development tools to build repeatable sourcing processes.
• Experience building relationships with passive, cleared, or niche aerospace talent.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with technical candidates.

Responsibilities

• Own the top of funnel by defining target profiles and data-informed sourcing strategies across Aerodynamics, Aerostructures, Propulsion, and more.
• Map the market: create talent landscapes by company, geography, and organization; identify hidden talent pools.
• Generate and engage candidates using advanced sourcing channels and communities.
• Build proactive pipelines with long-term relationships for just-in-time hiring.
• Leverage AI to scale sourcing with workflows, research agents, and automation.
• Create repeatable sourcing systems for maps, reports, and outreach content.
