Job summary

Cisco is hiring for a senior AI/security platform engineer to design and deploy systems that fuse security data, signals, and AI foundations. You’ll prototype new AI features with security SMEs and researchers to validate utility and impact.

You will help build a distributed platform to correlate massive event streams, supporting analysts with explainable findings and alerts. This role emphasizes scalable, trusted automation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive related experience.
• Experience with storage systems and storage access layers.
• Experience implementing data platforms and/or data lakes and warehouses.
• Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and automation workflows in Python.
• Experience designing agent systems for coding tasks.
• Experience working with telemetry data sources (endpoint logs, network traffic, authentication events, cloud audit trails).

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems that fuse security data, signals, context, and foundation models to detect threats.
• Prototype and test AI features with security SMEs and researchers.
• Develop an AI DevOps pipeline for rapid experimentation with data and memory/context management.
• Architect and build a distributed platform to correlate trillions of events and deliver explainable findings to analysts.
• Collaborate with product/platform teams to co-design AI-enhanced threat workflows.
• Contribute to the architecture powering AI-native security operations at enterprise scale.
